In this article Subjektiv is a free to use platform that connects artists, experts and art lovers across discovering and trading art. We'll cover the essentials of what you need to know to begin exploring Subjektiv.

Having an account

On Subjektiv, you can explore artworks and bookmark them as Saved without creating an account. But you must create an account or log in to own artwork and access more advanced features such as purchasing artwork, saving lists, following other users, leaving reflections, etc.

Guest layout

• Timeline: Stay in touch with recent updates on the platform and discover new artwork.
• Spaces: Search for people and artwork. Explore the artwork library, featured artists, and more.
• Profile: Here is your temporary profile page where all saves live. Also, you can log in or create an account from here.
• Help: Check out recent updates and links to our social media, and get quick access to the help center and a form to share feedback.

Registered user layout

• Timeline: Stay in touch with recent updates on the platform. Or from your community by switching to the Following tab.
• Spaces: Search for people and artwork. Explore the artwork library, featured artists, and more.
• Messages: Communicate about orders, reviews, and anything you want.
• Notifications: Stay in touch with recent updates in your community.
• Profile: Here is your profile with a studio (for artists), a lab (for experts), a collection, and saves.
• Settings: Manage your public profile, account, payouts, and more.
• Help: Check out recent updates and links to our social media, and get quick access to the help center and a form to share feedback.

Introduce yourself to other users, artists, and experts. Complete your profile information with a biography, a custom link, and a great photo. To add more details to your profile:

• Go to Profile on the left sidebar
• Press the Edit profile button. Or, if you are using a mobile app, press on ⚙️ and go to the Public profile
• Here, you can manage all the details that are shown on your profile:
  • Link: Use it to share your personal website or social media page.
  • Bio: Tell about your experience, education, selected shows, and more. There is no character limit; tell everything you want.

Stay in touch

Find artists, experts, and art lovers that inspire you. Stay in touch with their updates by following them. To do so, press Follow on their profile or if you see this button near their avatar.

See people that you follow

To see a list of all your followers, go to your Profile and click on the Followings counter. Here, you can quickly open their profiles or even unfollow them.

Also, you can filter the Timeline to see updates only from the people you follow. Just switch to the tab Following at the top.

Share your reflections

Imagine a world where nobody shares their impression and thoughts. Reflections are very important to make the world alive. We understand that and added the ability to share your reflections on any artwork. We prepared some questions, so you don’t need to find the ideal way to start reflecting.

To leave a reflection on any artwork:

• Wind any post related to it in the Timeline or Subjektiv view
• Press the Reflections button at the bottom part of the post
• Press Add reflection
• Select the question that works best for your feelings at the moment
• Write anything you want
• When it’s ready, press Submit
• Your first reflection is live now!

Own artworks you love

We are sure you will meet the artwork that will make your heart beat faster. If you want to own it:

1. Make sure the artwork is Available to own. The artwork status can be seen in any post and on the artwork page.

2. Available artworks have a price. You can check it by opening the artwork page and pressing See price

3. Press Own artwork button on the right block with the artwork title.

   

   Press Own artwork to start the checkout process.

Save

When you meet artwork that you love, but it is not available at the moment, you can save it. On Subjektiv, saves are stored in a separate list, so you will create your first one when you save the first artwork. To save any artwork, press on Save icon that looks like a bookmark.
